Interventional Spine & Sports Medicine, PC is devoted to the non-operative management of various orthopedic conditions, including neck and back pain, sports injuries and osteoarthritis in the Waterbury, Connecticut area. After a comprehensive evaluation, patients will receivea treatment plan consisting of activity modification, therapeutic exercise, medications and/or injection procedures. Alternative treatments aresometimes recommended when appropriate.Dr. Bhavesh Patel strongly believes that prevention is the best treatment and therefore, a significant part of the treatment plan will also focus on injury prevention.

Wait time for consultations and procedures is minimal and can often be performed on the same day in a comfortable, quiet, professional office atmosphere. Appointments are scheduled to allow Dr. Patel ample time to fully understand the symptoms his patients are experiencing. The office is equipped with state of the art fluoroscopy (video x-ray) and electrodiagnostic equipment for same-day diagnosis and treatment. Additional diagnostic tests may be ordered to confirm a diagnosis.

Dr. Patel acquired his education and training at the leading institutions for his specialties. With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Bhavesh R. Patel is one of the most seasoned and respected interventional physiatrists in the Greater Waterbury, Connecticut area. In order to remain on the cutting edge of non-operative spine care, Dr. Patel is active in numerous professional and academic organizations including the North American Spine Society, Interventional Spinal Intervention Society, American College of Sports Medicine, American Pain Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Pain Management and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
